Septopus

This is Septopus, my submission for the Level Up Circle: Beginner Jam #3.

Since the theme was the number 7, I had the idea to make a game themed around a 7-tentacled octopus. 

In the game, you must navigate 7 different mazes that are randomly generated. If I could invest more work into this game, it would be in the maze generation algorithm - alas, here we are.

Each time you fail a maze, 7 seconds are added onto your allowed time to give you a bit more space to complete the level. You have a total of 7 lives.

Once you complete 7 mazes, your total time will be displayed, and the game will be over.

A fairly simple game - it was written in pygame. The music was made by Nicole Marie T from here, and the art assets were clumsily made by me.

It seems that the executable I exported doesn't play well with most antivirus software, unfortunately. I can't modify the submitted file during the game jam's voting period, but I have a version on Google Drive that may play better with antivirus software. Check it out, if you want.
